The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers fell in four sets, 25-23, 25-22, 26-24, 25-17, to the Robert Morris University Colonials at the Genovesi Center, on the campus of St. Francis Brooklyn.
With the loss SFBK falls to 6-23, 2-9 in NEC.
Sophomore Maggie Niu led the Terriers with 18 kills.
The Terrier fell in a tight first set 25-23. The Colonials jumped ahead 19-16, the Terriers went on a 4-1 run to tie the set at 20. The teams traded points to make it 23-23. The Colonials scored the final two points to seal the win.
SFBK fell in the second set 25-22.Robert Morris jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the second set. With the score 10-3, SFBK went on 10-4 run to make it 14-13. With the score 18-14, the Terriers scored four straight to knot up the set at 18. RMU made it 20-18 SFBK would tie set at 20. With set knotted at 22, RMU scored the final three points to close out the set.
The Terriers won the third set 26-24. The Terriers started out with a 9-2 lead. The Colonials went on a 11-4 run to tie the score at 14. With the score knotted at 21, The Colonials scored two straight points to go up 23-21. The Terriers responded with 5-2 run to secure the victory.
RMU cruised in the fourth set winning 25-17.
The Terriers close out their home schedule tomorrow on senior day, when they take on the St. Francis University Red Flash.
