The undefeated Long Island University Blackbirds defeated St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers in 3 straight sets on Nov. 2, 2013. This leaves the Terriers 6-22 overall and 2-8 in NEC play.

It was a rocky first set for the Terriers, but after losing the first set 25-13, they started putting up a fight.

Although it wasn’t enough to win, the Terriers lost the next two sets 25-15 and 25-20.

The Blackbirds are now 17-7 and are number one in the NEC, giving their competitors something to look out for.

Senior Slavica, Stefanovic recorded 10 kills and hit .318 with 2 errors and 22 attempts, while Freshman Milica Mladjenovic added a career-high 5 best kills.

Anika Foit lead the Blackbirds with 11 kills, and setter Vera Djuric distributed 28 assists.

The Terriers will be back in action November 9th at 1 pm against Robert Morris University for a chance to redeem themselves.
