Final Recap: St. Francis Terriers lose to Mount St. Mary’s 85-79.
Basketball: The Terriers eight game winning has ended tonight in double overtime. It was defiantly the toughest loss for the Terriers this season.
No team could hold a solid lead after the first half. There was 18 lead changes throughout the game.
The last time these two teams met the Terriers were able to hit their free throws but that was not the case in this game. The Terriers were inconsistent from the free throw line shooting 12 for 24
Sophomore guard Leah Feachko could have put the Terriers up by 2pts with .46 seconds left in the second half but missed two free throws.
In the first overtime Senior guard Jasmine Robinson nailed some clutch free throws with 0.1 second left tying the score 75-75.
Then in the second overtime the Terriers only manged to score four points. The team couldn’t hit a basket with a 1 minute and 43 second left.
Mount St. Mary’s Junior guard Jacqueline Brewer nailed a three point shot with 1:43 left to give them four point lead.
In the preview Jacqueline Brewer was one of the key players to watch for. She finished the game with 21 points she was 7 for 10 from the field and 4 for 5 from beyond the three point line.
The Mount St. Mary’s bench was able to score 33 points. The Terriers couldn’t defend the three point preimeter.
As a team Mount St. Mary’s was 13 for 23 from beyond the arc. It was a tough loss for these Terriers.
There were a few bright spots for the Terriers. Junior guard Eilidh Simpson got herself a double-double tonight. She scored 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Terriers Jasmine Robinson had 16 points and 5 assist. It will be interesting to see how the Lady Terriers will comback from this.
The Terriers have been resilient all season long but tonight was just not their night.
Tonight’s the Terriers earned their first NEC conference loss. They are now 3-1.
The Terriers will have five days to recover from this heartbreaking loss.
Their next game will be Saturday January 18th, and they will take on Sacred Heart University at home. The Terriers are undefeated at home this season they are 6-0

Recap: The St. Francis Terriers can’t find an offensive rhythm in the first half. As a team they are shooting 28.6 percent from the field. They hit 8 out of 28 shots from the field. Both Sophmore guard Leah Fechko and Junior forward Jamyee Veney are shooting a combine 1-10 from the field.
It’s an odd sight to see these two players struggle offensively.
Sarah Benedetti is not active for tonight’s game.
Mount St. Mary’s on the other hand has been playing really well. The team is shooting 37 percent from the field.
Junior guard Jacqueline Brewer leads in scoring with 11 points and shooting 2-3 from beyond the three point arc.
The Terriers need a to do a better job guarding the three point preimeter. Mount St. Mary’s is shooting 5-12 from beyond the arc.
Mount St. Mary’s Senior guard Sydeny Henderson has been on lockdown this first half. She usally averages 18.2 ppg but she shooting 1-8 in this game.
The Terriesr may be down seven points but this season they have proven they can comeback from any lead.
