Preview: The lady Terriers will try to keep the momentum going this evening as they take on Bryant University. The Terriers are coming off a blowout win against Sacred Heart University on Saturday.
St. Francis Brooklyn, Bryant University and Robert Morris are all tied for first in the NEC conference.
Each team has a 4-1 record when they NEC conference teams. Tonight’s game we will see two teams battle it out for the top spot in their own conference.
This has been a great season for the Terriers. They have only had three winning seasons, the last one was in the 1977-78 season.
Junior guard Eilidh Simpson has been one of many impressive players for the Terriers. Over the last three games she has been averaging 19.6 points per game.
Eilidh is one player no team should sleep on. The Terriers should be happy that Junior Forward Sarah Benedetti got some minutes last game.
It was Sarah first game since spraining her ankle against LIU Brooklyn. In her first game back she scored 9 points in 15 minutes of game play.
She was 3-6 from behind the three point arc. Sarah has been a key bench player for the Terriers all season long.
As for Bryant University they are on a two game winning streak beating both St. Francis University and LIU Brooklyn.
The Bryant Bulldogs are an agressive team they have been averaging 44.8rpg during NEC conference play. Bulldogs Senior forward Naana Ankoma could be the reason why they average a lot of rebounds.
Since conference play has started Naana Ankoma averages 10.4rpg and 19.3ppg. The 6’0 forward is just one of many players the Terriers will have to focus on.
The Bulldogs are tough team that can grab a lot of rebounds. There are four players that average over five rebounds per game.
There is also four players that are averaging points in double figures.
Bulldogs Senior guard Jenniqua Bailey is averaging 4.9 assists per game and 12.9 points per game.
