Fourth-placed St. Francis College Brooklyn women’s basketball team heads away to Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut on Saturday for the team’s fourth-last game of the NEC regular season.
The women are coming off their fifth win in six years in the 25th annual Battle of Brooklyn against Long Island University — a game they won 64-54.
Jade Johnson was awarded the title of MVP for her 23-point performance on 7-of-11 shooting. She hit four triples.
The women’s team is currently in fourth position in the NEC with a 7-7 record.
Looking to make sure of their playoff place, the women have three more regular season games after Sacred Heart.
They go to Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, on Monday, February 26, before returning home for games against Central Connecticut State University on Friday, March 2 at 7pm and Bryant University on Sunday, March 4 at 1pm.
