The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers (18-10; 9-8 NEC) women’s basketball team fell to the Bryant Bulldogs (15-13; 10-7 NEC) 63-58 on senior day Saturday afternoon.
Senior’s Jasmin Robinson, Ozana Marginean, and Kiley Grabbe were honored before the game.
Junior Eilidh Simpson led the Terriers with 16 points.
Senior Jasmin Robinson capped an 8-0 with a three late in the second half, to cut the Bulldogs led to 57-56. But SFBK’s late rally fell short.
The Terriers had trouble hitting shots when they needed too. The Terriers shot 34.5% from the floor for the game.
They were able to hang around all game and not let Bryant lead by more than nine. But when they needed to they could make that key shot.
Bryant was able to put the game away because of their ability to hit from the foul line. They shot 11-14 from the line.
In the first half, Bryant was able to open up a seven point lead, 29-22 but Simpson hit a three as the half expired to cut the led to 29-25.
The Terriers shot 34.4% from the floor in the first half.
SFBK finishes NEC play on Monday when they host LIU in the “Battle of Brooklyn.” Tip off against the Blackbirds is set for 7:00 P.M.
