The St.Francis Brooklyn Terriers fell in straight sets, 25-22, 25-16, and 25-19, the Sacred Heart Pioneers. With the loss the Terriers fall to 6-18, 2-4 in Northeast Conference play.

Sacred Heart’s Dianis Mercado led all players with 16 kills. Leah Zitting led the Terriers with six kills.

Sacred Heart took the first set 25-22. The set was tied at 13, then SHU scored three unanswered points to go ahead 16-13. SFBk cut thelead to 17-16. But SHU was able to hold off the SFBk come back and take the first set.

The Pioneers took the second set 25-16. With the score 7-6, the Pioneers went on a 7-1 run to go up 14-7. The Terriers cut the lead to 15-11. But the Pioneers scored five of the next six points to go up 20-12 . This was enough for the Pioneers to take the set.

Sacred Heart won the Third set 25-19. St Francis opened up a 4-0 lead. They also led 11-6. SHU responded with a 9-1 run to go up 15-12. SFBK wasn’t able to respond to the SHU rally.
