Final: Terriers lose to the Wagner Seahawks 62-53. Today’s loss puts them at 16-8 overall and 7-6 against NEC teams.

Recap: The Terriers were playing catch up in this game. The Seahawks took the lead and never looked back.

The lady Terriers couldn’t get anything going offensively. The team was shooting 29.7% from the field.

For a team that usually hits their 3’s Terriers they were 4 for 23 from beyond the arc. No one on the team was able to score in double digits.

Junior forward Sarah Benedetti and Senior guard Jasmine Robinson both scored a team high 9 points. Jasmine was 2 for 10 from the field but 5 for 5 from the free throw line.

When a teams top two scorers struggle from the field the end result most likely won’t be good. Junior guard Eilidh Simpson and Junior forward Jamyee Veney shot a combined 5 for 14 from the field.

The Seahawks had complete control in this game. They shot 42.9% from the field.

Seahawks had three players that scored in double digits. Freshman guard Jasmine Nwajei continued her hot streak this afternoon.

Jasmine finished the game with her third double-double for the season. She scored a game high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Sophomore center Ugo Nwaigwe also had herself a nice game. Ugo finished the game with her third double-double for the season.

She scored a season high 15 points and hauled in 10 rebounds.

It has been a tough road trip for the Terriers. They have lost 2 of 3 the last games on the road.

With five games left the Terriers need to regroup and fast.

Their next game will be this Monday on the road against Sacred Heart University. Tip off will be at 7pm.
