Following two consecutive wins, the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers women’s volleyball team dropped their match 0-3 against the NJIT Highlanders in the second part of their Saturday doubleheader.

Before the two teams battled, the Terriers had just had victories over the Fordham University Rams and Quinnipiac University Bobcats. The Highlanders had dropped a match to the Bobcats, but defeated the Rams in part one of their Saturday doubleheader.

The Highlanders pounced on the Terriers Saturday by the scores of 25-16, 26-24 and 25-17 respectively. The Highlanders improved to (4-3), while the Terriers fell to (3-5).

The Highlanders finished with 50 points, 42 kills, 52 digs, 25 set assists, six aces and two blocks. The Terriers only managed 33 points, 27 kills, 48 digs, 23 set assists and six blocks.

Senior outside hitter Weronika Wiezik led the Highlanders to their victory, hitting 10.3 percent to record 11 points, ten kills and eight digs. Senior right side hitter Katarzyna Klocek hit 5.6 percent en route to ten points, ten kills and seven digs. Junior outside hitter Tess Albyn hit 35 percent, accumulating eight points, eight kills and four digs.

For the Terriers, senior outside hitter Domenique Gerard hit 21.4 percent, recording 10.5 points, ten kills and five digs. Senior outside hitter Niehely Sosa hit 16.7 percent en route to 7.5 points and five kills.

The Terriers suffered 21 attack errors, seven serve errors and one block errors while the Highlanders accumulated 19 attack errors, two set errors, seven serve errors and one block errors.

The Terriers will travel to Storrs, Connecticut Friday for a doubleheader against the Yale University Bulldogs and Loyola University Maryland Greyhounds. The Terriers will face the Bulldogs at 12 pm and the Greyhounds at 5 pm.
