Final: The Terriers beat the Red Flash 90-76. They picked up their 16th win of the season which ties the program’s record for most wins all time.
Recap: Terriers came out firing on all cylinders in this game. They had complete control of the game from the beginning till the end.
The Lady Terriers were 12-25 from downtown. The team finished with three players scoring in double-digits.
Junior guard Eilidh Simpson continues to be a main threat for other teams. Tonight she lead the team with 27 points.
She shot 10 for 15 from the field. Eilidh wasn’t the only Terrier that dominated in this game. Sophomore guard Leah Fechko and Junior forward Jamyee Veney finished the game with a double-double.
Leah finished the game 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. She was also 5-7 from beyond the three point line.
Jamyee put up 16 points and reeled in 10 rebounds. Junior guard Katie Fox may have finished the game with 3 points but she controled the Terriers offense.
She did a great creating plays and finding players for open shots. Katie finished the game 7 assists and just 1 turnover.
As for the Red Flash tonight was definitely not their night. They shot 6-21 from the three point line.
Red Flash got out rebounded in this game 28-43. For the most of the game they were playing catch up.
Senior forward Alli Williams continued her great season tonight. She scored 31 points and 11 for 16 from the field.
Alli did have help from fellow teammate Junior guard Alexa Hayward. Alexa scored 22 points and was 5-9 from beyond the arc.
But both these players couldn’t beat the Terriers on their own. Tonight’s win pushes the Terriers to 16-7 overall and 7-5 against NEC teams.
They are tied for fourth place in the NEC conference.
The Lady Terriers continue their road trip this Saturday and they will take on the Wagner Seahawks at 1pm.
