The St. Francis Brooklyn Women’s Basketball Team (8-21, 4-14) were defeated by the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils (4-25, 3-15) by a score of 54-75 Thursday evening. The Terriers concluded the 2019-2020 season placing 10th in the NEC.

On the Blue Devils home court, they dominated each quarter. In the first quarter, they edged the Terriers by one taking the quarter 12-13. Moving forward, the Blue Devils took the second quarter 22-30. At the end of the third, they took a 15-point lead of the Terriers, 37-52.  In the fourth, the Blue Devils extended their lead to 19 points taking the contest 54-75.

Top performers from the Blue Devils were Ashley Berube, Dejah Jenkins, Ashley Chin, and Tiffany Slicklein.

Junior center Ashley Berube finished with a double-double in 20 minutes. She recorded 11 points and 11 rebounds. She also assisted in one basket and recorded four blocks before fouling out.

Freshman guard Dejah Jenkins finished with 11 points in 13 minutes. She grabbed one rebound, assisted in two baskets, scored two of four attempted three-pointers, and landed three of four shots at the free-throw line.

Senior forward Ashley Chin finished with nine points in 22 minutes. She grabbed two rebounds, assisted in one basket, recorded one steal, and scored one of three attempted three-pointers.

Junior forward Tiffany Slicklein finished with five points in 24 minutes. She grabbed 11 rebounds, assisted in one basket, recorded one steal and two blocks, and landed three of five shots at the free-throw line.

For the Terriers, top performers were Ally Lassen, Abby Anderson, and Alyssa Fisher.

Junior forward Ally Lassen finished with 14 points in 29 minutes. She grabbed four rebounds, recorded two steals, and landed six of 10 shots at the free-throw line.

Junior forward Abby Anderson finished with 12 points in 29 minutes. She grabbed seven rebounds, assisted in two baskets, and landed two perfect shots at the free-throw line.

Freshman guard Alyssa Fisher finished with 11 points in 30 minutes. She grabbed four rebounds, recorded one steal, scored one of four attempted three-pointers, and landed two of four shots at the free-throw line.
