The St. Francis Terriers (16-11, 8-6 NEC) men’s Basketball team will head out on the road to Loreto, PA to face St. Francis (PA) (14-11, 10-4 NEC) on Thursday at 7pm in a crucial game.
In the Terriers earning their 4th win a row against Central Connecticut at home last week on February 16, the team now moves into second place through the NEC standings
With two massive games on the road in tonight’s game and with the inclusion of Robert Morris on February 23, the Team will look to face Bryant in their final home game that will determine a Terriers playoff appearance.
The Terriers and the the Red Flash are set to meet for the 83rd time in history. The Terriers came out with a 72-68 win against the Red Flash in the teams’ first matchup of the regular season on January 12.
The Red Flash are currently at the top as they sit in first place in NEC standings with a 10-4 conference record. The Team is on a 7th game win streak, which is the longest active win streak this season in the NEC.
Though the Terriers are seen as one of the hardest teams, not only in the NEC, but in the nation to shoot the three-ball against. Teams are only shooting a little over 30 percent from deep, which accounts for the 25th-lowest mark in the NCAA.
In total, the Terriers have only given up the third-fewest points per game (69.7 ppg), as well as now having the second-best scoring margin (+1.7) in the NEC this season.
ESPN matchup predictor gave the the Terriers a 28% chance in pulling off a win tonight. The Red Flash were given a 71% Of winning.
