Currently Uber is developing a way to incorporate their service into your favorite apps.
The company released a featured program for developers to integrate Uber with their already existing services. This new idea, the “Ride Request” button, is the innovative company’s most recent concept.
If you are using the Starbucks app or buying movie tickets from the Fandango app, Uber will give you an option to request a car to take you to those locations. Uber is promising that these developers can earn some money for configuring this setting into their apps.
The car service is famous for using each user’s GPS location to connect them to a driver in their area and provide them with a ride as quickly as possible. Uber wants to streamline this process even further through the introduction of this new initiative.
Chris Saad, the product manager for Uber, said in a statement, “By adding the button next to every address or ‘intent to ride’ in your app, your users will be able to tap instantly to get a ride to the hotel, restaurant, movie theater or any other destination you specify.”
Uber is also looking for new app developers to test this integration with smaller apps, rather than trying to incorporate their design with the tedious coding of larger corporations.
The app’s success will be determined by developers in the months to come.
