SFC will host a study abroad fair in the Callahan Center on Wednesday, March 5 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., giving students a chance to learn about different programs, countries to study in, and financial aid options.
It will feature outside agencies including International Studies Abroad, CISabroad, and Council on International Educational Exchange, as well as faculty-led programs to Segovia, Istanbul, and Assisi.
Students will speak with the different providers and study abroad alumni.
Programs are offered in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America for one year, one semester, a summer, or a few weeks.
Study Abroad offers intensive foreign language courses in countries such as Italy, Spain, and France, with a host-family option.
The tuition and housing costs for most programs are about the same price as SFC’s. Students may be able to use their scholarships or federal loans towards tuition.
The college also offers a personal essay scholarship of $500 for summer session or $1,000 for an entire semester.
Study Abroad Coordinators Dr. Jennifer Wingate and Dr. Francis Greene will be present to answer questions. It is recommended to set up an appointment after the fair to discuss further options.
