The St. Francis Men’s basketball team fell 78-58 to the University of Dayton on Saturday, November 16, 2013.

At the start of the game, the Dayton Flyers took the lead and held it for the remainder of the first half, going into halftime having the advantage at 32-25.

Dayton held the lead for the rest of the game, but the terriers cut the deficit to three on three different occasions.

With 11:50 left in the game, the score was 43-40 after St. Francis’ P.J. Santavenere shot a 3-point field goal.

Shortly after, Dayton began an 11-3 run over the span of three minutes, and by the four-minute media timeout, Dayton had a 30-7 run.

Jalen Cannon had 14 points and eight rebounds while Wayne Martin had nine points.

The Terriers are now 2-1 and will face Syracuse University on Monday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m. which can be seen live on ESPN3.com.
