I'm on my way back from playing Boston College and, well, to put this plain and simple we got smacked. It always hurts to lose and when you lose like this it can either light a fire under you or break you down mentally.
Hopefully it lights a fire under us especially with two of our starters back in action for Saturday's game against my assistant coach's Alma Mater, Canisus. It should be a tough game but we're hungry for our first win and I believe this is where we will get it.
Riding on the bus when you win and riding on the bus when you lose is like night and day.
The coaches are up there laughing and smiling but that's only when you win. After a loss, everybody has a frown or sad face on.
You can see the anger in some people's eyes but it's just another step that we are taking in a long road to our goal.
Just like any other Division 1 basketball team, after you lose or win you watch a film of the game. You learn from your mistakes and you get better. Right now we have no choice but to get better.
Booker T. Washington once said "without struggle there is no progress" and we struggle, bleed and sweat everyday in practice.
Now we just need to make some progress.
