The St. Francis College (SFC) women’s bowling team will travel to Pennsylvania this weekend to compete in the Bud Whitman Memorial tournament hosted by Kutztown University.

The tournament will take place over Saturday and Sunday at Colonial Berks Lanes and marks the first tournament of the season for the Terriers.

21 teams will be present this weekend including fellow Northeast Conference (NEC) teams Long Island University (LIU), St. Francis University, Duquesne, and Mount St. Mary’s.

The team will bowl a total of 10 matches over the weekend with the format being split 5 baker matches and 5 traditional matches.

Last year the team finished third in the NEC after losing to Sacred Heart University in the semi finals. This year the Terriers were ranked 6th in the coaches pre season poll.

UPDATE- The team won first place on Sunday with a total pin fall of 4,645. Freshman, Victoria Hollywood, was also named to the all tournament team on Saturday after recording a frame average of 19.6. The teams overall record is now 6-4.
