St. Francis College hosted a graduate school fair in the Genevosi Center this week, giving students the opportunity to meet representatives from different schools and learn about a variety of programs.
Jaime M. Saure, a graduate admissions counselor for Pace University was reluctant to answer questions regarding Pace’s graduate programs.
“We offer many different concentrations in our programs and we invite students to learn more about them,” Saure told SFC Today.
Students applying to grad schools or thinking about applying in the future attended the event, which wound up being very helpful.
“I really enjoyed coming to the event — it was worth it,” student Nina Osnani said. “This is my first time here. I am interested in Pace University and NYU for their business and science graduate programs.”
James Poulach, a representative of Kaplan Test Prep, stressed the importance of prepping for graduate school exams.
“Test prep programs are an investment as exam scores are critical in the application process,” Poulach said.
“I came to the event, because I am looking to further my degree after graduating from St. Francis College,” Senior Brandon Coronado told SFC Today. “I also hope to develop my skills.”
Coronado is mostly interested in Fordham University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
“I wanted to learn about colleges and their programs offered, specifically medical school,” Sophomore biology major Myar Dandash said.
The graduate school was a success with many ambitious students and more than 60 graduate programs in attendance.
