The SFC Center for Entrepreneurship will be ringing the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Monday, December 23 at 4:00pm and you can watch it live.
The Center for Entrepreneurship has enormous goals, and alongside Dennis Anderson, the center is hoping to cultivate Brooklyn’s creative culture.
“Anyone looking to start a business or who already has one will be able to come to us to get the tools they need to be successful,” said Anderson, Chair of the Department of Business Management and Information Technology and Executive Chair of the new Center for Entrepreneurship.
“They’ll learn things like which banks provide funding and who to contact, where to get legal advice, and how to take advantage of pro-bono services,” said Anderson.
“Ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange is an announcement to the world that you are a productive member of the business community,” said SFC President Brendan J. Dugan, ’68.
Dugan added, “The fact is, our small college in Brooklyn Heights has had two feet firmly planted in this world for decades through our countless, successful alumni.”
The college is also partnered with NYSE to offer post-baccalaureate academic credit, that way they can train teachers on how to educate students on the financial marketplace and its significance in their lives, and the global economy.
Watch President Dugan and the SFC Center for Entrepreneurship ring the Closing Bell live on various cable networks or on a direct feed from NYSE beginning at about 3:55 at: https://nyse.nyx.com/the-bell/todays-bells-live.
