The St. Francis men’s soccer team defeated Central Connecticut State University 2-0 on Friday, November 15, advancing to the NEC Championship for the first time since 1998.

The first goal of the game came from Kevin Correa at 60:02 minutes from a free kick outside the box, giving St. Francis the lead.

Correa’s second goal of the match came at 72:29, coming off a pass from Gabriel Bagot.

The Terriers had 10 shots on goal in the first half, compared to CCSU’s two shots on goal.

This is Jack Bink’ seventh shutout game of the season.

St. Francis will be playing Bryant University in the championship final in New Britain, CT at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

St. Francis will be offering a fan bus taking students to the game that will depart from the school at 9 a.m.
