Senior forward Yussuf Olajide and senior defender Collyns Laokandi scored goals in the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers mens soccer team’s 2-0 defeat over the Robert Morris Colonials Sunday afternoon.

The Terriers have improved to (8-4-2, 4-0 NEC), while the Colonials have fallen to (3-7-2, 0-2-1 NEC).

After the Terriers missed five goal attempts and their opponent missed three, Olajide scored a goal in the match’s 34th minute with an assist from senior midfielder Salvatore Barone.

Olajide is now tied with Barone, with four goals this season.

As halftime approached, sophomore midfielder Lucas Puntillo took another shot for the Colonials, but it was blocked by the Terriers.

After the Terriers missed another five goal attempts and the Colonials missed another three, Laokandi scored his first goal of the season in the 63rd minute with an assist from senior Federico Curbelo.

The Colonials took four more shots in the next 27 minutes, but couldn’t manage to score.

The Terriers shot 2-for-16 on Sunday, while the Colonials failed on 11 attempts.

Terriers senior keeper Seth Erdman recorded one save and Colonials keeper Winter Fondi recorded six.

The Terriers will host the (1-8-2, 0-1 NEC) Central Connecticut State Blue Devils on Friday at 7 pm.
