Audition to be a teenage blockhead

The SFC Troupers will hold auditions on Friday, February 3, for their upcoming play, Dog Sees God.
Auditions 3The auditions will be held in the 7th floor Maroney Theater from 2:00-6:00 pm. All students are welcome to try out for various roles.

Dog Sees God is based on the classic Peanuts series, although it is not your typical Peanuts “adventure.” Charlie Brown, Linus, and the gang are now budding teenagers facing the troubles of adolescence. Snoopy has passed away, and the rest of the cast is addled by typical high school issues ranging from drug use and eating disorders to sex and rebellion.

Any student who wants to audition should prepare a comedic or dramatic monologue to perform. Those who are familiar with the play and/or characters should decide on what part they want to try out for. The Troupers are also looking for crew members. Anyone who is interested in stage design, construction, sound design or lighting, is also welcome to audition.

Nicholas Priore of the Communication Arts Department will be directing the play. This is the troupers’ second collaboration with Priore, following “The Director” last fall. Priore and the Troupers are looking forward to rendering another spectacular performance for the college.
