The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers are set to host the Sacred Heart University Pioneers tonight at 5:00 p.m. at the Pope Physical Education Center.
The Terriers (11-7,2-1 NEC) are coming off of a 76-66 victory at Central Connecticut State on Thursday evening.
Junior forward Jalen Cannon led the team with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Starting point guard Brent Jones also picked up a double-double in the victory, with 12 points and 11 assists. In the last three games, Jones has had 30 assist and has only turned the ball over four times.
Sophomore guard Anthony White was the Third Terrier in double figures with 12 points.
The Pioneers (4-14, 1-2 NEC) are coming off of an 85-70 loss at Bryant University.
Senior forward Louis Montes, who is averaging 12.6 points per game, led the team with 28 points in the loss.
Junior Chris Evans, who is averaging 12.2 points per game, was the only other Pioneer in double figures with ten points.
St. Francis Brooklyn holds the series 15-9.
Both teams won on their home court last season when they met. SHU won the first meeting 66-65, and SFBK won the second meeting 92-80, which allowed them to clinch a berth in the Northeast Conference Tournament.
The Terriers are also 10-3 at home against the Pioneers.
SFBK will look to Cannon and Jones,who are both coming off big game, to lead them to their second straight victory in the NEC.
