St. Francis College men’s basketball team will go away to Central Connecticut Blue Devils this Saturday in the final game of the regular season with a fight on its hands to secure a home playoff slot.
If the Terriers win on Saturday they will be sure of hosting an NEC Quarterfinal game next Wednesday evening.
A loss could mean the Terriers fall to 5th or 6th seed.
The Terriers had been in a 3-way tie for second but now stand in fourth place.
Central Connecticut has the incentive that it can secure the 8th seed with a victory or a via a defeat for current 9th-placed Sacred Heart.
St. Francis will be hoping to bounce back after losing a very close game away to LIU Blackbirds on Thursday.
The Terriers fell 81-76 on Thursday evening despite Rasheem Dunn scoring a game-high 22 points.
The Terriers shot just 34.9% overall and shot only 4-of-30 from long-distance.
