After the success of the 3rd Annual Women’s Film Festival, SFC professors are collaborating with the First Unitarian Congregational Society of Brooklyn, located on Pierrepont Street.
In April, every Thursday at 6:30pm, the FUUB Chapel will host a film series. The schedule is as follows:
April 5 – Dr. Jennifer Wingate will hold a discussion about Citizen Jane, a film about an activist who challenged urban development projects.
April 12 – Dr. Augusta Palmer and film director Meema Spadola will talk about Spadola’s film our house, which is about growing up with gay and lesbian parents.
April 19 – Dr. Wendy Galgan will introduce MEEK’S CUTOFF, a film that focuses on the hardships emigrants faced in 1845 on the Oregon Trail.
April 26 – cameraperson will be screened and Dr. Lynne Jackson will introduce the film, which is about a woman who spent decades making movies.
The series is open to the public and brought to you by The Women’s Leadership Alliance at FUUB and St. Francis Faculty.
Hope to see you there!
