The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers women’s volleyball team defeated the Saint Francis University Red Flash in three sets Sunday afternoon.

The Terriers won by the scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-20.

With the on the road win, they have improved to (7-14, 3-3 NEC), while the Red Flash have fallen to (4-15, 0-6 NEC).

The Terriers recorded 34 kills, 46 digs, 32 assists, six aces and five blocks while also accumulating 11 attack errors, two serve errors and two block errors. The Red Flash recorded 40 kills, 51 digs, 38 assists and five aces, while suffering 23 attack errors, 10 serve errors and one block error.

Senior outside hitter Domenique Gerard led the Terriers, hitting 20.7 percent en route to 13 points, 10 kills and 16 digs. Junior outside hitter Aleksandra Gligoric hit 28 percent, recording 10 points, nine kills and five digs.

Senior middle hitter Niehely Sosa hit 33.3 percent, adding 7.5 points, five kills and three digs.

Sophomore setter Angela Hudelson and freshman setter Macy Kurtz contributed 12 assists each.

Senior outside hitter Breanna Opera led the Red Flash, hitting 20 percent en route to 17 points and 16 kills. Junior outside hitter Kelsey Roush hit 34.8 percent, recording nine points, nine kills and eight digs.

Junior outside hitter Emily Marcinowski also added nine points as well as six kills and 11 digs.

Sophomore setter Amelia Metzler accumulated 28 assists.

Next up for the Terriers is their Saturday match against the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils. They will host the (10-7, 5-0 NEC) team in the Genovesi Center at 1 pm.
