St. Francis College alumnus Anthony Matos '10 just released his latest track titled "Fly Together".

"It [Fly Together] speaks on people staying together and working for a common goal," said Matos.
While he attended SFC he majored in Communications: Advertising and Public Relations. Matos was also captain of the college's men's soccer team. After graduating in May 2010, he landed a job in the Advertising department at CBS.
Matos has been creating music since 2008, and performing live since 2010. "My real musical influences are my parents. I just want to give back. I have so much to tell and express in my music... everything I am is because of them," said Matos.
Matos expressed that the lyrics to his music come naturally to him. "There is no one way I write my lyrics. I just play the beat and write whatever comes to my head. There's no real science behind it, just life experiences and words," said Matos.
Matos started a movement known as "Loose Camp." It includes his musical team, everyone that follows his music and fans better known as his "Campers."
In January 2010 he became involved with PMS Radio. This opportunity was presented to Matos as a result of him being in the right place at the right time. While on vacation in Miami he met the man that would help him advance in his music career and most importantly, he was ready to show his talent.
Reflecting on this experience, Matos said: "I rapped for them that night and have been working with them ever since." Mercedes Dukes, owner of PMS Radio, is Matos' current manager.
Matos added: "In all honesty they are awesome honest people and that's incredibly hard to find in this industry."
His other singles, "Roll With Me" and "Pass Me The Bottle," have also been well received on YouTube. "Pass Me The Bottle" features DJ Webstar, P. Diddy's DJ and the creator of the song "Chicken Noodle Soup."
Currently, Matos is working on a series of mixtapes called "Keep Camping." Matos said: "the mixtapes are composed of freestyles over industry beats, in other words me remixing other people's songs." He is also working on an original mixtape which will be released in early 2012.
When asked about what advice he would offer to current students who are musicians Matos said: "Be yourself and win people over with uniqueness and something you believe in. To make it in music is incredibly hard, short cuts and cheating will not help in the long run. Say what you feel, express the views that you believe in."
