SFC sophomore Phil Bongiorno recently made his comedic debut at the New York Comedy Club. Bongiorno is not just funny, he is hysterical and has over 1000 page views on YouTube to prove it.

His performance in early November was good enough to unlock new opportunities for more gigs in NYC.
Bongiorno explained that throughout the years people have hinted that he was a "funny kid," but this year he made the decision to take these opinions seriously and cash in on his talents.
So far the comedic genius' journey has been as smooth as the jokes he delivers. However, Bongiorno admitted that the night of his debut was a little nerve racking. Bongiorno said: "I was nervous when I was in the backroom before I went on stage. Then as the MC called my name, I became excited and happy. That night was a big opportunity for me."
The probability of meeting the right people at the right time in the right place is nothing short of a story in itself. After a successful debut in the biggest city on earth, Phil Bongiorno has proven that he has what it takes for the big leagues.
His arsenal of jokes set him apart from other comedians. He has laugh out loud material that references everything from Facebook to television. His jokes are well received, and there are times in which he even laughs at his jokes.
Bongiorno said: '"I have a lot of material about everyday situations, songs, T.V. shows, Facebook and traveling. I can make a joke about anything. I talk about stuff that people do every hour, basic stuff. I say clear jokes that you really don't have to think hard about. My jokes make me laugh which makes it easier for me to make you understand it."
If you ask Bongiorno, the key to his success begins at the microphone. He said: "It is important to get a good vibe because you want your audience to be comfortable."
This is exactly what he has done well with his fans and the video posted on YouTube shows the overwhelming response after each delivery of comedic goodness on the part of Bongiorno.
With all of the success achieved, it was suprising to discover that there was a point before his big show that he began to have second thoughts about doing standup live. Bongiorno said: "The week before my gig, I thought to myself that maybe I was all talk about this stand up. I proved my self wrong."
If there were any doubts about his talents, they have been put to rest now. "My confidence is through the roof, I can't believe what has just happened to me," said Bongiorno.
This won't be last we hear of Mr. Phil Bongiorno.
You can see Bongiorno at his next live performance which will take place at the New York Comedy Club on November 30, 2011, at 9 p.m. sharp.
