February is Black History Month! What better way to spend the month than with some fun events presented by the Caribbean Students Association & African Culture Club at St Francis College. Here are the dates you can look out for:
Thursday, February 2nd there will be the B.H.M. Opening Event going on during Activity Period at 12:20 pm in the Cafe.
Monday, February 6th there will be a Food Sale that one can find also in the Cafe at 12:20pm during Activity Period.
Wednesday, February 8th will be movie night from 6pm to 9 pm in room 4101. The club will be showing “Barry,” a Netflix movie on the life of the former U.S. president Barack Obama. The Admission is free with snacks on sale for one dollar.
Thursday, February 9th there will be an African Head Wrapping Workshop in room 4404 during Activity Period at 11:10 am. The head tie is not only fashionable but also functional, joining this event will give you the tools to learn how to wrap your own headdress!
Friday, February 17th the club is having Open Mic Night from 6pm to 9pm on the 7th floor in Maroney Theater. The event is open to not only the members of the St. Francis College community but everyone under the sun! Showcase your talents at this wonderful event.
Thursday, February 23rd there will be Black History Trivia in room 4404 during Activity Period at 11:10am. There you can test yourself on how much you know along side other friends and company.
Lastly the club will being having the final event of Black History month on Monday, February 27th. You can join them at the “Black in Business” panel in room 6214 during Activity Period at 12:20pm.
