The Brooklyn Business and Career Library leaves its Brooklyn Heights location today, moving to the Brooklyn Central Library where its permanent space is set to open in 2017.

During the move, slated for June 6-18, a business librarian will be available to assist patrons at the Central Library location.

The Business and Career Library, featured in the February edition of SFC Today, boasts a number of unique resources for entrepreneurs, job-seekers, and students alike.

By moving the library to the Central location, the library’s hours will be extended by 32%

“Library users will have the added benefit of convenient access to all Central Library resources like the Information Commons technology, Adult Learning Center, and faster WiFi,” senior librarian Natalie Cannestra told SFC Today.

The Central Library, located at 10 Grand Army Plaza, will house the Business and Career Library in an interim location until its permanent space within the branch opens in 2017.

Cannestra says concerns about discontinued services are unfounded. “The Business & Career Library will continue to offer all current services like job search and resume help, entrepreneurship programs, and the PowerUP! Business Plan Competition,” she said.
