The annual Boorito Night at Chipotle is back this Halloween! The fast casual Mexican grill chain will be offering their menu for a whole $3, but with a twist this year.
Chipotle is bringing awareness to their food which is all natural and includes no artificial preservatives. Their mantra this year is, simpler is always better—especially in food.
An estimated $1 million in proceeds from Boorito Night will go to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, which supports sustainable farming.
Beginning at 5 p.m. on Halloween, patrons of the joint must wear a costume with an “unnecessary addition” in order to receive a discounted meal. For example: an astronaut with a tiara or ghost with a scuba mask.
In 2008, the first annual Boorito night offered free burritos to those who dressed up in tinfoil like the wrapped meal. But according to Chipotle’s chief marketing officer Mark Crumpacker, it cost them a fortune. In recent years, the menu settled to $3.
Since inception, Chipotle was able to raise $4 million towards the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.
The deal gets sweeter—the essential guacamole won’t cost you extra.
With a location on Montague Street, around the corner from SFC’s campus — eat real food this Halloween.
